The RA Governmen Facebook page informs that the Marmashen monastery complex is being improved. The works also include archeological research and excavations.
Marmashen monastery complex is located in the administrative territory of Vahramaberd village of Shirak region of Armenia, on the left bank of Akhuryan river, 10 km away from Gyumri.
According to the inscription on the south wall, the first main church of the complex was built by Vahram Pahlavuni in 988.
