Ukraine is not interested in participating in G20 meeting without Russia's presence: Arakhamia

Ukraine is not interested in participating in the G20 summit in the United States without Russia's presence at it. This was stated at a press conference at the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington by the head of the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada, David Arakhamia, according to Novini Live.

"Just sitting at the G20 without the Russians — what would be the topic then? I think it is important that Russia is present," Arakhamia said.

According to him, such meetings are meaningless without the presence of Russians, since it is impossible to discuss key issues and problems unilaterally. However, for the trilateral summit of Ukraine, Russia and The United States needs to agree on a number of issues within the framework of the G20 and prepare the ground for negotiations, Arahamia added.

He also noted that after the midterm elections to the US Congress, Ukraine's chances of receiving more aid "at least doubled."

It was about the prospects of additional financial and military support after the change of the majority in Congress.

"According to Arahamia, it will now be more difficult for the Donald Trump administration to block a decision in favor of Ukraine. The US President retains the right of veto, but Arahamia believes that the need to negotiate with Congress will restrain its use against decisions on Ukraine," the publication says.

Arahamia also said that representatives of the US President Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner immediately inform Kiev even after unplanned telephone conversations with the Russian side, and the Ukrainian negotiating team, in turn, informs the Americans about individual meetings in Europe if they touched on the topic of the Ukrainian conflict.

As EADaily reported, the Russian delegation will arrive in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11 and take part in trilateral talks with the United States and Ukraine. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
