EU Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin met today with the Armenian Ombudswoman Kristinne Grigoryan. This introductory meeting was aimed at congratulating the new Armenian Human Rights Defender and showing the EU’s support to this institution. EU Ambassador expressed her wish to continue the excellent collaboration and partnership with the Human Rights Defender office and exchanged views on developments in the human rights field. EU Ambassador emphasized the high-value role of the Ombudswoman in the rule of law and democracy. Andrea Wiktorin mentioned that the impartiality and independence of the institution will contribute to improving the quality of democracy in the country.
