An EU office to be opened in Kabul

The European Union will open a representative office in Kabul in the coming weeks, but that does not mean that Brussels recognizes the radical Taliban movement that has come to power in Afghanistan. Representative of the EU Foreign Policy Service Nabila Massrali announced this.

She noted that the EU is working to ensure a minimum presence in Kabul. According to Massrali, it is necessary to help the people of Afghanistan.

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that a number of European countries would open a joint diplomatic mission in Afghanistan. According to him, this way, diplomats who previously worked in Afghanistan will be able to return to their jobs in Kabul.
