Marukyan addresses CoE Committee for Prevention of Torture over exchange of Armenian prisoners of war

The leader of the "Bright Armenia" party Edmon Marukyan wrote on Facebook.

"In order to save the lives of Armenian prisoners of war and civilians held in Azerbaijan and to facilitate their exchange, I appealed to the President and Vice-Presidents of the Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) of the Council of Europe to urge an urgent visit to Azerbaijan to study and prevent cases of possible inhuman and degrading treatment.

Let me remind you that the Committee for the Prevention of Torture of the Council of Europe is the only body that can freely enter any closed institution in Azerbaijan".
