A woman from Gyumri sold her newborn child for 1 million 200, 000 drams. A criminal case initiated

As a result of the investigative-operative-coordinated measures carried out in the Kumayri department of the Gyumri Police, under the proper prosecutorial supervision, information was obtained that on August 20, 2018, a resident of Gyumri  (woman) sold her newborn child for 1,200,000 AMD to a couple living in Yerevan.

Taking into account that there were features of crimes in the prepared materials, the Shirak Region Prosecutor's Office made a decision to initiate a criminal case under Article 168, 169.1 of the RA Criminal Code. 

The criminal case was sent to the Shirak Regional Investigation Department of the RA Investigation Committee with an instruction to conduct a preliminary investigation.
