SIS arrests 5th Channel owner Armen Tavadyan
Varuzhan Mkrtchyan is charged pursuant to Clause 1, Part 4, Art. 340 of the RA Criminal Code (extortion of false testimony in an organized group), reports SIS to 1lurer.am.
Mkrtchyan has been released after signing a document, which forbids him from leaving the country.
Armen Tavadyan has also been arrested with the same charges.
Mkrtchyan is a supporter of Robert Kocharyan, under trial for the March 1 case. According to a video released by the police, he offered money and a position to a victim if the latter changed his testimony.
Mkrtchyan was arrested on December 21.
