Azerbaijan and Iran have always stood by each other, even in difficult times, Speaker of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said during a meeting with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on June 24, APA reports.
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf described this as another example of the unity and solidarity between the two countries.
The Iranian parliament speaker noted that the war had also demonstrated how important contacts with Muslim countries are for Iran.
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that Iran learned who its friends and enemies were during the war. In this regard, Azerbaijan, as a friendly country, stood by Iran.
