Kyiv subjected to massive attack by Russia: there are casualties and destruction

The Russian forces struck the capital of Ukraine overnight with drones and ballistic missiles. As a result of the combined enemy attack, four people have died, according to the Telegram channel of Kyiv’s mayor, Vitalii Klitschko, RBC-Ukraine reports.

“There are already four fatalities in the capital. Search and rescue operations are ongoing at several locations,” the Kyiv mayor stated.

According to the latest information from medical personnel, 20 people have been injured, 16 of whom have been hospitalized.

On the night of June 6, Russia launched a massive attack on Kyiv using Shahed drones, which approached from multiple directions. Rescue teams recorded debris falling and fires in many parts of the city.

As a result of the enemy shelling, the red metro line is partially out of service, and it will take at least a day to restore its operation. It is known that the above-ground stations from Dnipro to Lisova are temporarily closed for entry and exit. Full restoration of the line's operation will take about a day. Kyiv City State Administration is preparing additional ground transport to carry passengers of the red line.
