Zelensky calls for high range weapons, says 'tragedy' will ensue without US support

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said it would be "a tragedy" for Ukrainians and Europe if his country is left to survive without further aid from the U.S., Reuters reports. 

"So, will Ukrainians survive without Congress support? Of course, but not all of us. And if we understand this price, if the world is ready for this ok, you will see it. But it's tragedy. It will be tragedy for all of us, not only for Ukraine, not only for Ukrainians, for all Europe. And you will see that they will go, Putin will never stay, will never stop. He will go through Eastern Europe, because he wants it. We need high-range weapons. We talked about this yesterday with congressmen. I talked about this with President Biden. Everyone understands. ATACMS for 300 kilometers, that would help us a lot,"  Zelensky said.

During an interview with FOX news' Bret Baier aired Thursday (February 22), Zelensky said Ukraine would survive but "not all of us".

The U.S. Senate has passed a $95 billion aid package that includes funds for Ukraine, but House of Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson has declined to bring it up for a vote on the floor of the House.
