Palestinian PM urges international community to drop double standard over Gaza

Palestinian PM Mohammad Shtayyeh says at aid conference in Paris that Israel is not waging a war against Hamas but against all Palestinians.

The Primer minister insisted that universal human rights laws were being violated, urging the international community to act, and drop what he described as a "double standard" for collective empathy.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry told an international aid conference on Gaza in Paris on Thursday, that capacity at the Rafah crossing was insufficient and urged international actors to ensure that wider solutions be sought.

Shoukry said that Egypt rejected what he called an Israeli attempt to "display Palestinians from Gaza."

Echoing the message, Jordan's Prince Rashid bin Hassan insisted on the value of a two-state solution.
