Charles Michel calls Azerbaijan and Armenia to recognize each other’s territorial integrity

Head of the European Council Charles Michel, has emphasized the need for mutual recognition of territorial integrity between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Michel stated that during a recent conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, he made it clear that Aliyev "cannot have territorial claims against Armenia."

He also mentioned that EU mediation in the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict is aimed at safeguarding the interests of the European Union in the region.

Michel refrained from commenting on Aliyev's decision not to attend the summit in Granada but expressed his intention to discuss it with him personally.
