Samvel Shahramanyan is elected President of Nagorno-Karabakh

Samvel Shahramanyan was elected the President of Nagorno Karabakh.

The chairman of the counting committee of the Nagorno-Karabakh's Parliament said that 22 deputies voted for the only candidate, and 1 voted against.

The ex-President of Nagorno-Karabakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, announced his resignation on August 31, and on September 1, he submitted his resignation to the Parliament. 

Before his resignation, Arayik Harutyunyan relieved Gurgen Nersisyan from the position of Minister of State of Nagorno-Karabakh and appointed Security Council Secretary Samvel Shahramanian to that position.
