The release of the songs has two purposes, said Serj Tankian, to inform the world about what is happening through followers and foreign media and to raise funds for Artsakh by spreading them. Proceeds from the songs will be donated to the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.

The idea of performing a joint song for Artsakh came from John Dolmayan. After the start of the war, he invited his friends to gather. They wrote and videotaped in a matter of days, by condensely presenting the protest, anger, spirit and united strength of the whole people.

From the first day of the war, the musicians of the band SOAD have been informing millions of fans on social media about the attack of Azerbaijan, Turkey and war crimes on Artsakh, telling what the world is silent about.

It takes a long time for the world to realize what is happening, says John Dolmayan. At the beginning of the last century, the Turks used the First World War for the Genocide, and now they use the pandemic and the election of the President of the United States. This time, too, they divert attention from what they have done, that is, rape, murder, and the destruction of Christianity. It seems that this is their main goal, said John Dolmayan.
