Campaigning officially began on May 8 for Armenia’s parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7, with 19 political forces entering the race, including 17 parties and two alliances.
The participating political forces are:
- Reformists Party
- “I Am Against Everyone” Party
- “Strong Armenia” Alliance
- Armenian Meritocratic Party
- “New Force” Reformist Party
- “Wings of Unity” Party
- Prosperous Armenia Party
- National Democratic Pole
- “Kochar National Revival and Awakening of the Nation” Party
- Armenian National Congress
- Republic Party
- Christian Democratic Party
- “Alliance” Progressive Centrist Party
- “Democratic Consolidation” Party
- “Democracy, Law and Discipline” Party
- Civil Contract Party
- Armenia Alliance
- “For the Republic Democracy Defenders Alliance” Party
- Bright Armenia
- Political parties must pass a 4 percent threshold to enter parliament, while alliances are required to secure at least 8 percent of the vote.
The election campaign will continue until June 6. June 6, the day before the vote, will be observed as a day of silence ahead of the June 7 parliamentary elections.
