Irish and Afro-American dance traditions have generated the step dance, the most important part of which is footwork. For fully mastering the step dance one needs a lot of patience, time and efforts. But the pleasure of the dance makes forget all the troubles. The step dance which was widespread in the United States in the 19-20th centuries starts getting popular also in Armenia.
Lately actor and dancer Stepan Ghambaryan along with his coworker Babikfounded the Armenian Federation of Step Dance. Ghambaryan plans to open a studio in near future. He is sure this crazy and contagious dance will have a large army of followers.
