UNESCO’s World Heritage Tentative List expanded with new Armenian nomination

Armenia is now a member of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee.

At the same time, a new Armenian nomination has been added to UNESCO’s World Heritage Tentative List: “Areni-1 Cave: Prehistoric Life and Winemaking in the Arpa River Valley.”

The nomination was prepared through a public-private partnership, with joint efforts by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, the Areni-1 Cave Research Foundation, and the Armenian Enotourism Association, with funding provided by the latter.
