Russian Embassy to Armenia releases statement on Griboyedov monument incident
The Embassy of Russia to Armenia has released a statement on the desecration of Griboyedov’s monument.
“We share the stance of the official Yerevan that the ungainly incident concerning the monument of A. S. Griboyedov, a great friend of the Armenian nation.
We believe that the unanimous condemnation of the deed by the Armenian society attest to the strong relations between Russia and Armenia with historical roots.”
RA Prime Minster spokesperson Vladimir Karapetyan told 1lurer.am that vandalism must not have a place in our society.
