Chess Tournament dedicated to Tigran Petrosyan’s 85th anniversary launches in Moscow

“Tashir” Chess Tournament dedicated to 85th birthday of the 9th World Chess Champion Tigran Petrosyan has launched in Moscow. The only representative of Armenia Levon Aronyan finished his first match in a draw. Our grandmaster shared the point with Israeli Boris Gelfand.

The match ended in the 48th step. The first round was pretty quiet. Din Lizhen-Vladimir Kramnik, Peter Leko- Alexander Morozevich matches did not have winners too.

Only Alexander Grischuk provided a victorious start, who in the 46th step took advantage with white figures over his compatriot Ernesto Inarkiev.
