Summer Olympic Games: Heading for Rio
The fire of the 31st Summer Olympic Games will soon be lit in Rio De Janeiro famous Maracanã Stadium. This time the number of participating states hits a record by reaching 206. For the first time, athletes from Kosova and South Sudan will have their participation in the Olympic Games.10500 Olympic athletes will compete for the set of 306 medals. This is a record, as well. Currently Armenia holds 12 Olympic ratings. Wrestlers Arthur Aleksanyan, Mihran Harutyunyan, Lean Berianidze, gymnast Harutyun Merdinyan, judoka Hovhannes Davtyan and 7 weightlifters have won their trips to Rio. However, Armenian Olympic Committee is not satisfied with this.
