Vance Signals Progress as Trump Plans Zelensky Meeting

The Russia-Ukraine conflict remains one of the most complex to resolve, but it will eventually be settled, the U.S. vice president has said. According to J.D. Vance, Donald Trump is preparing to meet with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which could lead to meaningful progress.

He emphasized that Washington intends to continue its efforts to help establish peace and believes that a resolution is only a matter of time. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also stated that Kyiv is prepared for direct negotiations with Moscow at the presidential level.

“A meeting with Putin is acceptable to me, although it certainly would not be the best day of my life,” the Ukrainian president added.

According to Zelenskyy, the Russian president’s objective is to occupy Ukraine, making it essential for the country to remain sufficiently strong and secure reliable security guarantees.
