Manager of Armenian National Team Armen Gyulbudaghyants and captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan did not participate in the vote for technical reasons. When FIFA sent the form of the vote in August, the servers of the Armenian Football Federation had technical issues.
This year, captain of Barcelona and the National Team of Argentina Lionel Messi won the Best Player Award, while Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp won Best Manager.
