Armenia’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Vahan Hunanyan answered the question of Sputnik Armenia news agency.

Question: According to the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, “joint military exercises between Azerbaijan and Turkey have started in the Lachin region.” Please comment on this.

Answer: We consider the holding of Turkish-Azerbaijani military exercises near the Armenian-Artsakh border and near the Lachin corridor as an action detrimental to the steps aimed at de-escalation, which does not correspond to the spirit of the November 9, 2020 trilateral statement and undermines the efforts to establish local peace, security and stability in the region.
