Gabriel Sargsyan is the bronze medalist of the European Online Rapid Chess Championship

Armenian grandmaster Gabriel Sargsyan was successful at the European Online Rapid Chess Championship, taking the third place.

In the 1/8 final Sargsyan won Victor Mikhalevski with a score of 1,5 -  0.5. Then he defeated Vincent Keymer (2-1) in the next round. In the semi-final Gabriel lost to David Navara in both games.

The European champion is Russia's Alexey Sarana who defeated czech David Navara with a score of 2 - 0.
