Opera singer Dmitri Hvorstovsky dies aged 55

Russian People’s Artist, opera singer Dmitri Hvorostvsky died in London. The baritone had been suffering from brain cancer for a long time. Fighting against the disease for two years, he did not abandon the stage. His voluminous musical biography includes performances of renowned stages such as La Scala, Metropolitan Opera Theaters of Berlin, Vienna and New York. In Russia, he has worked with the orchestra, led by the director of the Armenian Opera Theater Konstantin Orbelyan.
