Saint Gregory the Illuminator monument to be raised in Armenia
The author of the monument in Vatican, Armenian-French sculptor Khachik Ghazanchyan, is now working on the replica of the statue, which he will gift to the motherland. The marble statue of Gregory the Illuminator has been standing in one of the niches of Saint Peter’s Basilica in Vatican since 2005. The height is 5.7 meters, the weight – 26 tons.
