45 years ago a modern art gallery was opened in the Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic
Henrik Igityan was the one who came up with that bold idea. The Modern Art Museum of Yerevan celebrated its anniversary with a rare book collection display. It was the founder’s, Henrik Igityan’s, dream. There are paintings displayed in the gallery, which were previously hidden in the gallery’s basement by Soviet censors.
