Marmashen monastery -Pahlavouni heritage
On the left bank of River Akhuryan – 7 km away from Gyumri, and 2 km from Marmashen village, lies Marmashen Monastery - one of the best structures of Bagratuni period. For unknown reasons, the script on the wall does not mention who the architect was. However, Trdat – architect of Ani mother temple, is supposed to be the author of this one as well.
