On May 3rd, 1905, Hayrik Muradyan was born to the family of Muradyan in Shatakh province. The rural environment educated Hayrik to be patriot and an advocate for folklore. The Armenians in Shatakh were forced to abandon their homes. Only 4 members of Muradyan family of 54 survived.
