Hezbollah, Israel exchange missile strikes, death toll in Lebanon reaches 3,516

Reuters/CCTV. The death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon in the latest round of Israel-Hezbollah conflict that broke out on Oct 8, 2023 climbed to 3,516, with injuries rising to 14,929, said the Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health on Monday.

Beirut, the Lebanese capital, was again hit by an Israeli air strike on Monday, the ministry said that night.

The air strike on a residential building of Zuqaq al-Blat near local UN headquarters and Lebanon's parliament and prime minister's office killed five people and wounded 24, according to the ministry.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement on the same day that Hezbollah fired rockets into northern and central Israel on Monday, killing at least one person and injuring many others.

The Israeli army said its air defenses intercepted projectiles coming from Lebanon over Tel Aviv, where a street was slammed by shrapnel.

Hezbollah launched more than 100 rockets into Israel that day, according to the Israeli army.
