NSS Director referred to possibility of returning Armenian territories that passed under control of Azerbaijan

The director of the NSS informed in a conversation with journalists today that a meeting with the Azerbaijani side on the issue of prisoners and missing persons is possible in the near future, however,  Abazyan did not tell when.

The director of the NSS also referred to the departure of Russian border guards from the Armenian-Iranian border and the decision to transfer the control of the borders of Armenia to our border guards, reminded that from January 1, 2025, the border guard forces of Armenia will perform the full border service at the Agarak border control point.

To the question of whether our country is able to independently implement the service at the Armenian-Iranian and Armenian-Turkish borders, Abazyan responded: yes, step by step, however, there is no such decision now. The director of the NSS also referred to the possibility of returning the Armenian territories that passed under the control of Azerbaijan.
