March 3 has become the International Day of Writers on the decision of the 48th congress of PEN international writers’ club in 1986.
1890-1913 a number of renowned writers worked separately, but were involved in one team – they were playing cricket together. Soon the prominent writers’ team closed, and in 1921 another association opened. PEN club was founded in London. The international organization started uniting world famous writers.
