Diocese of Tavoush of Armenian Apostolic Church visited Khoranashat church for the first time following the liberation war. The famous sanctuary of Chinar village lies captive 70 meters away from Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
People do not light a candle or burn incense here, however the soldiers guarding the border believe one day they will. Even the Soviet atheism had not depressed the church to the degree as Azerbaijani vandalism has.
