Yerevan will celebrate the 2798 anniversary of the city establishment entitled “Yerevan-City of the Sun.” Within the City Day multi-genre concert programs will be held for the residents and the guests of Yerevan. In the square neighboring “Republic Square” metro station (Khachkars square) the national stage will be placed where cultural associations of the national minorities and Armenian song and dance groups will be performing. Flashmobs will be held in various corners of the capital.
Due to April war this year the celebrations will be more modest compared to previous years. The amount of money to be allocated to the organization of the event will be twice reduced.
