The 300 anniversary events of Mkhitarian Congregation establishment on Saint Lazaroo island will kick off these days and will last over a year.
Three centuries ago under the decree issued by the Venice Senate, Mkhitar Sebastatsi received a permanent residence status and situated on this tiny island and lit the torch of Armenian enlightenment thought.
For over 3 centuries the Armenians are guided by the same credo: “To serve to the Armenian people through God – away from the Homeland for the sake of the Homeland. ”
