Yezidis in Armenia commemorate anniversary of the Yezidi tragedy

August 3rd in Yezidi calendar marks the 2nd anniversary of Yezidi massacre by Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), leaving thousands dead. Over 70 Yezidi populated villages were abandoned: thousands of women and children are still captured and kept in slavery.

Armenia based Yezidis raise their voice against indifference from international community in regard with Yezidi Genocide. Leader of Yezidi Union Aziz Tamoyan has expressed gratitude to the Armenian people and Armenian officials for standing by Yezidis and urging international community to refer to this issue.
