Grandmaster Karen Asryan was a Candidate master at the age of 9
Karen Asryan - international grandmaster, champion of Europe and Armenia, World Junior Championship silver and bronze medalist. If World’s champion Karpov became a Candidate master at the age of 11, Kasparov - at the age of 13, then Karen was awarded the rank of Candidate master at the age of 9. On April 24th Karen Asryan would have turned 36.
