Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Yann Haguet, Chairman of the Board and Acting CEO of IN Groupe; Isabelle Lauzon, member of the Board of Directors of HayPass and Chief International Business Development Officer IN Groupe; and Martín Eurnekian, CEO of Corporación América Airports.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of implementing a new-generation biometric system in Armenia through a public-private partnership, noting that it holds pivotal significance for the country. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that the reform involving the introduction of a modern biometric system is of significant importance—both in terms of the services provided to citizens and the issuance of high-quality documents, and within the context of the visa liberalization process with the EU. At the same time, the Prime Minister welcomed the involvement of IN Groupe and Corporación América Airports in this initiative. The Prime Minister underscored the strategic importance of the program to implement a new biometric document system, as well as the value of incorporating international expertise and the professional capabilities of the private sector into a project of national significance.
During the meeting, discussions focused on future cooperation in the aforementioned areas, as well as the implementation of a reliable identification system and modern solutions for border control.
A consortium comprising members of the board of IN Groupe and companies from Corporación América established "HayPass" company in Armenia, which is currently implementing a new-generation biometric system in the country through a public-private partnership (PPP) framework.
