Armenia’s National Security Service reported that on October 19, 2026, at approximately 17:50, a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Yashar Ali Oglu Gasimov, born in 1968 and a resident of the village of Chatakh, Tovuz District, was found in the territory of the Republic of Armenia, in Tavush Province.
“As a result of the verification measures carried out, it was established that the Azerbaijani citizen had entered the territory of the Republic of Armenia after losing his way.
Appropriate measures are being undertaken to facilitate the return of the Azerbaijani citizen”, the Service said in a statement.
