Environmental challenges facing neighbors are shared: Pashinyan

Major changes are taking place in our region, and fortunately, these changes are expected to follow a positive trajectory in the near future. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan made this statement during a roundtable discussion held as part of the Leaders’ Summit.

“We are going to implement major projects in the near future. Our region will undergo unblocking, and border delimitation and demarcation will take place. Throughout all these processes, we must pay particular attention to environmental issues. These are agendas that should logically bring states closer together, because neighboring countries face shared environmental challenges.

Most importantly, I want to emphasize once again that environmental and biodiversity-related problems cannot be solved by an individual country acting alone. This is the specific feature of this format, because if such problems cannot be solved by individual countries, then, logically, they cannot be solved by individual regions either. This is where the need for global efforts comes into play,” he said.
