Almost 2 days passed after the Armenian Church of Holy Martyrs was destroyed in Der Zor, Syria. And by now not a single Turkish media covered it. Andranik Ispiryan, a Turkologist following the Turkish media, read about it only in “Agos”, Turkish – Armenian paper. “Demokrat Haber” news site, which distinguishes itself from the general Turkish media, wrote on this, citing “Agos.” This policy of silence makes us think no answer to Armenia’s official call will follow.
Even if the Turkish side answers it can not be anything more than just a mere response with nothing much to say. At the same time there are many Turkish militants within the ISIS, with direct connections to the Turkish National Intelligence. The Turkologist believes that the order to blow up the Holy
Martyrs Church in Der Zor could come through this very channel.
