Strasbourg bids goodbye to Pedro Agramunt. Last week the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe took decisive actions to fire its president suspected in corruption. In the summer session of PACE the pro-Azerbaijan politician was banned not only from approaching the presidency, but also the door of the session hall. First he was expelled from the European People’s Party, then an unprecedented formula was accepted, which provides a mechanism to fire the PACE President. By the demand of the new document, the assembly members gathered signatures to introduce Agramunt’s resignation question into the PACE session agenda.
