This morning, a resident of Aygestan community of Askeran region of the Artsakh Republic (Nagorno-Karabakh), Armen Verdyan, born in 1971, after getting lost, appeared in the territory under the control of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and was detained by them.
Artsakh’s Ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan reports that as a result of negotiations between the Artsakh security forces and Russian peacekeepers, the civilian has been returned to the Russian peacekeepers and will soon be handed over to the Armenian side.
