Bashar al-Asssad: Trump is likely to become Syria's natural ally

“Trump’s promise regarding fight against “Islamic State” group sounds quite promising, however will he manage to turn words into action?”, said President of Syria Bashar al-Assad at an interview with a Portuguese TV channel.  Assad believes other forces may influence the USA President-elect. Nevertheless, if Trump is willing to fight terrorism, then he is likely to become Syria’s “natural ally”, like Russia, Iran and several other countries. What concerns Moscow’s struggle against terrorists in Syria, that is not only in the interests of Syrian people and the local authorities, but also helps the Middle East and Europe, Bashar al-Assad said.
