Warlick: No decision can be imposed on the parties by force

The OSCE MG Co-Chair countries are committed to continuing dialogue between presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan and are exploring opportunities to bring them together again, OSCE Minsk Group US co-chair James Warlick told “Ria - Noviosti”.

“The peaceful resolution of the confrontation in Yerevan provides us a sense of relief. Confrontation and public discussions in this regard once again prove the importance of reaching a lasting peaceful state through negotiations, which is acceptable by all the parties leading to a comprehensive regulation of the conflict”, Warlick said.

He noted that Vienna and St. Petersburg talks were successful in reducing the violence along the line of contact between Azerbaijani and Armenian opposing forces, resuming substantive talks, and advancing proposals to reduce the risk of violence. He also states that OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs expect both parties to abide by peaceful implementation of conflict settlement.
