Russian specialists will assist Azerbaijan in the construction and modernization of infrastructure facilities intended for the repair and maintenance of armored vehicles. This was announced by Dmitry Shugayev, Director of Russia’s Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation. According to him, a comprehensive agreement has already been signed between the parties.
He also pointed to the strong interest of Azerbaijani partners in Russia’s Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile and gun systems. Shugayev noted that these air defense systems are in high demand and that contracts for their delivery to Azerbaijan could be signed in the foreseeable future.
