In 2025, we refunded AMD 95 billion to Armenian citizens under Income Tax Refund Programme; this year, figure has already reached AMD 78.6 billion: Pashinyan

In 2025, we refunded AMD 95 billion, or USD 263 million, to Armenian citizens under the income tax refund programme. This year, the figure has already reached AMD 78.6 billion. In other words, we refunded AMD 95 billion to citizens in 2025 and AMD 78 billion this year. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this while presenting the 2027 draft state budget to the National Assembly.

“This money is intended to ensure the well-being of specific individuals and families in Armenia, because people use these funds to purchase apartments,” Pashinyan stated.

In this context, Pashinyan also addressed the model of well-being that underpins the Government’s activities and the ideology of the political team he leads, and went on to explain what the model of living well entails.

“The model of living well is work. There is no better model for living well, at least in our view, because there may be people who think, for example, that stealing can be a model for living well, or evading taxes can be a model for living well, or plundering the country can be a model for living well.

The model we envision is work, and this is our message to every citizen of Armenia. However, the means of making work effective is education. The comprehensive model we envision is as follows: education, work, continuous development of knowledge and skills, and well-being,” he said.
