On October 27, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Territorial Administration and Environmental Protection Ruben Mkhitaryan, the Chair of the Standing Committee on European Integration Harutyun Harutyunyan, the Committee members Arega Hovsepyan, Syuzanna Sayadyan and the Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Tsovinar Vardanyan met with the members of delegation of the Committee on Environment, Climate and Food Safety of the European Parliament.
The First Deputy Chief of Staff of the National Assembly Artur Martirosyan attended the meeting.
Sargis Khandanyan welcomed the guests who arrived in Armenia to participate in the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17). The Chair of the Committee stated that there is effective cooperation with the European Parliament in various formats.
The NA deputies spoke about the Armenia-European Union deepening relations, highlighted the EU support in different fields.
Thanking the deputies for hosting them in the National Assembly, the members of the Committee on Environment, Climate and Food Safety of the European Parliament highly appreciated the holding of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity in Armenia. The guests expressed willingness to present their successful experience in a number of fields and to deepen the cooperation.
The interlocutors exchanged views on bilateral cooperation regarding environmental protection, expecting to achieve concrete results.
