India welcomes the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Indian Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar stated.
According to him, India is closely following the developments in the South Caucasus and has welcomed the peace agreements reached between Azerbaijan and Armenia in August last year.
India hopes that this will lead to the establishment of lasting peace, and the country’s position on the matter is clear: disputes should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy, added the Indian foreign minister.
