My most important upcoming task is signing and ratification of peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, with a specific timeline of by 2031, Pashinyan

I consider the signing and ratification of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan to be my most important upcoming task. This does not mean that we are abandoning any other agenda, but I have also set myself such a goal, with a specific timeline of resolving this issue by 2031. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this at the Government session on October 15.

“Naturally, this is also a task for the Government and, in general, for our political team, but as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, I also consider it very important from the perspective of my personal agenda that we resolve this issue by 2031.

It is not that this perception has only now been formed, but I also want to say that I see that this opportunity exists; otherwise, I would not voice it in this and other formats. In the near future, we must remain focused on this agenda, and I repeat, this includes the agendas generated during the revolution, without in any way pushing our strategic programs into the background.

Clearly, the TRIPP project, the opening of communications, and economic development are all important, but this is also an important emphasis: nevertheless, at the very top of that agenda-at the very top for me-is the signing and ratification of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, through which, in my opinion, a very significant stage in the history of Armenia and the Armenian people in general will be concluded, and conversely, a new stage will open with new agendas and a new logic,” he said.
